Featuring around 150 works from the Tangen Collection, the exhibition Rebellion and Optimism explores how artists during this period developed new expressions, processes and perspectives. Anything could become art: mass-produced materials, everyday objects, images and references from art history. Rebellion and Optimism reflects a time when art both responded to contemporary society — and dared to imagine something entirely new.
