What to experience at Kunstsilo this Easter
Opening Hours during Easter
From Palm Sunday through Easter Monday, exhibitions, Panorama and the shop are open daily from 11:00–17:00. The Brasserie is open from 11:00–19:00.
Journey to the top: Art Route and Easter Hunt for the Whole Family
Buy our map with tasks to solve throughout the exhibitions and search for the Easter chicks hidden along the way. As you make your way up through the floors, you’ll put both your creativity and detective skills to use. The trail can be explored at your own pace and offers a fun way to discover the building. It ends in Panorama on the 9th floor, where hot chocolate and buns for the family are included in the ticket.
Family Workshop
“Look what I made!” Enjoy quality time together in our free family workshop. This Easter, you can create your own easter decorations or explore creative activities inspired by the exhibition Edvard Munch Portraits.
Daily Guided Tours
Get closer to the art! Join a guided tour every day at 12:30 (weekends at 12:30 and 14:00). The tours are in Norwegian. A tour offers new perspectives and insights to help you better understand the art. Tickets can be purchased online or at Guest Services.
Community Embroidery by The Dream Ballad
The Dream Ballad is a 55-metre-long embroidery depicting a powerful dream about humanity’s eternal struggle between good and evil. In the activity space connected to the exhibition, families can take part in hands-on activities – including contributing to a large shared embroidery using needle and thread.
Kunstsilo Quest: The Dream Interpreter
Can you solve the mystery? On the 4th floor, outside The Dream ballad, you’ll find Kunstsilo Quest – a large digital table where you have 30 minutes to solve a mystery inspired by the exhibition. Based on the concept of an escape room, the experience is suitable for children aged 10 and up (younger participants accompanied by adults) and is free of charge.
À la carte for all ages in the Brasserie
Our welcoming Brasserie offers a varied menu with a Nordic touch, featuring seasonal vegetables, meat and fish for both young and adult palates. You’ll also find a tempting selection of cakes and freshly brewed coffee.
Exhibitions to explore
This Easter, you can experience five different exhibitions at Kunstsilo. Discover the newly opened presentation from the Tangen Collection, Edvard Munch – Portraits, and revisit the immersive digital experience of Tivoli by Reidar Aulie, where you can step inside the painting in S-Lab. Easter is also your last chance to see Draumkvedet and My Own Room by Inger Johanne Rasmussen. Follow the arrow to explore our current exhibitions.
Step inside a painting in S-Lab
On the 2nd floor, you’ll find S-Lab, where you can be immersed in Tivoli by Reidar Aulie. Listen to the orchestra and take in the atmosphere.
